The Prophecy Trilogy

As you, the reader, embark on the wondrous quest through the past and the future depicted in these books, be prepared to lay aside some of the secular notions you have taken for granted nearly all your life. At the same time, be prepared to have the reality of Biblical events and the words of the Prophets confirmed for you far beyond anything you might have imagined possible. When you finish reading any one of these books, your concept of the Prophets, the past and the future will be changed forever.

Parallel Histories: The Nephites and the Americans

The Lord is about to jar us out of our pleasant daydream. His repeated warning through his prophets is always the same. He is about to shake our bed and rouse us from our waking slumber. The world we have taken for granted is about to disappear. At least, that is what the Book of Mormon says, if you consider that we Americans are the counterparts of the Nephites who lived just prior to the Savior's First Coming. Given that perspective, the entire book is prophetic of our day. It is the writer's fervent hope that the distillation of the parallels between the Nephites and the Americans will allow the reader to make significant progress toward understanding the message ofthe Book of Mormon. It is the work of inspired men whose concern for their brethern - even for those who would come many generations after their own bodies had turned to dust - outweighed any personal sacrifice on their part. Their words reach out across the centuries to us as a beacon to light our way. The Book of Mormon is a word of warning and a ray of hope sent by a loving Father to His children to support them and guide them through the most difficult of all eras, the last days.

The author of five books for the LDS audience, I am also a journalist, photographer, composer and video producer. I have a scholar's interest in any discipline that relates to the restored gospel, including geology, anthropology, archeology, astronomy, archeoastronomy, etymology, planetary science, paleontology, comparative mythology and comparative religion. More than anything else, I desire to share what I've learned about events in ancient history that have shaped sacred traditions. I wish that every Latter-day Saint could have the insight this study has provided for me, personally. It's a profound exercise in enlightenment that includes the symbolism of the scriptures, the temples and the words of the prophets. Not only does it increase one's gospel comprehension many fold, it amplifies and strengthens one's testimony. In my opinion, every Latter-day Saint should study these things.
